Google Falling Behind TWITTER!

Everybody knows Twitter is the latest craze, and if you don't have a twitter account, I would suggest getting one soon! Personally, it took me a week or two to catch on to Twitter and to really understand what the point was-I thought why get Twitter if you have a Facebook account? I have now grown to love Twitter-and I send new Tweets a few times a day!

I found this interesting story that talks about how Google has fallen behind Twitter in the race to provide people with real-time information. This is huge! Book Club??

I do most of my reading for the year laying by the pool-but this season I had to get a jump start. I am a huge fan of the Real Housewives Series on Bravo. I started to watch the OC edition when a friend from college's family was on the show-if you're a fan of this series-I'm sure you all know and love Vicki Gunvalson! I got hooked on this show immediately-and it has now become a guilty pleasure of mine to watch all of the different Real Housewives series! The Real Housewives: New York City just had their season finale this past week. Natural food chef Bethenny Frankel from RH:NYC recently came out with a book Naturally Thin. I picked up a copy last week, and I am just about done reading the book. I give this book 5 stars!!! This book teaches you a healthy way to indulge, and gives you 10 "rules" to follow which I personally find very sensible and relatively easy to follow, such as Your Diet Is Your Bank Account and Taste Everything, Eat Nothing. She also includes some great recipes for all you chefs out there! Go pick up at copy yourself at your nearest book store-I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Renew Spa Grand Opening Party

Who else was at the grand opening party of Renew Spa located at 980 N. Michigan?? Calling all spa junkies-this is a great new spa! A few of my girlfriends came to check out this new spa-and we were pleasantly surprised with what it had to offer. They were offering free mini Mani's, Pedi's, massages, facials and make-up lessons. I addition to the free spa services, they had a fully stocked bar along with a few snacks.

The service was great-however 4 of my nails were already chipped this morning:(

Do you all remember Cactus and Melvin B's? If you dont- they were both located adjacent to eachother on State Street in the Triangle and both had fabulous outdoor seating areas! Sadly-both of these Restaurant/Bars closed their doors.

Manor/Rino & Staff have taken over the old Melvin B's at 1114 N. State and plan to re-open the venue in a few weeks under the new name of The Cedar Motel.

If you don't love good food + outdoor seating + a large beer garden, GET OUTTA CHICAGO!!!

The Cedar Motel is also bringing in kitchen help from The Fifty/50 to spice up the menu.

I went to dinner with a few foodies tonight at a New Asian restaurant called Sunda. After we wined and dinned, we went outside to wait for the valet guy to pull up our car. SPOTTED: Kate Walsh getting out of her car with 2 friends just about to begin their dinning experience at Sunda.

Cinco De Mayo

Last night was Cinco De Mayo-the oh so fun holiday celebrated with buckets of Coronas, Margs brimmed with salt and unlimited chips and salsa. I can say I took part in all 3 of those things-and probably in excess.

My friends and I ventured out to a Mexican restaurant/bar we have not been to before, Blue Agave. We were lucky enough to get a table-this restaurant was so packed they stopped letting people in at a point!

Countless margs, chips and coronoas later-I found myself having to say bye to the crew to head on home-Hump Day followed, thank god! The week is 1/2 way over :)
